The Barn and Engine House accommodation

Inspired by alpine refuges and the hostels of climbing and caving clubs, each of the six barn rooms and the Engine House features a traditional Alpine bunk, where you sleep comfortably side by side. To offer a little more privacy, some of the rooms now have dividers fitted within the bunks, creating four cosy two-person spaces. Four of the barn rooms sleep eight people, two sleep ten, and the Engine House sleeps a further eight.

Every room is fully self-contained and thoughtfully equipped. You’ll find a shower, toilet, and wash basin, along with a kitchen complete with an electric cooker, microwave, kettle, and toaster. We also provide pots and pans, mugs, plates, and cutlery, plus a small colour television with free satellite TV, all in a comfortable open-plan setting. The rooms are warmed by electric night storage heaters.

The bunks come with Dunlopillo mattresses, but please note that we don’t provide bedding, so you’ll need to bring your own sleeping bags or bedding, along with pillows, a wash kit, and towels. Toilet rolls and cleaning materials are supplied in each room for your convenience. We’d kindly ask that you take a moment to read through our site rules before booking. Please also note that campers are not permitted to use the indoor accommodation facilities, even when part of the same group.

Charges: Our rate is £22.00 per person, per night, with no charge for children aged five and under. In addition, there is a £1.00 token charge for the electricity used by the cooker, shower, and sockets, all including 20% VAT. WiFi is available at £2 per device for every four days.
